Aaron Savin
Senior Vice President

Aaron Savin is the Senior Vice President of ECHO Retail. He has been in the retail real estate industry for 25 years and specializes in tenant representation, landlord representation and site acquisition for development on a regional and national level. Aaron formed ECHO Retail as a subsidiary of ECHO Realty in 2007 and has grown the company to 10 brokers exclusively representing over 50 retail clients including Dick’s Sporting Goods, T.J. Maxx, Starbucks, Five Below and numerous other retail and restaurant chains throughout the East Coast and Midwest. On the landlord representation side, Aaron oversees a portfolio in excess of 9,000,000 SF not only for ECHO Realty, but companies such as Kimco Realty, AdVenture Development and Widewaters Group.

Mr. Savin is a graduate of Michigan State University and received an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.

Jay Murphy
Vice President

Jay Murphy joined ECHO in 2002, and brings 18 years of commercial real estate experience specializing in both tenant and landlord representation throughout the eastern United States. On the tenant side, Jay exclusively represents national retailers including TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Home Goods, Dollar Tree Stores and Office Depot. HE represents Rahal Motors in their expansion efforts in Pittsburgh, and has completed several successful transactions for them.   He has also represented #1 Cochran on several specific assignments.   Prior to joining ECHO, Jay started his real estate career with Grubb & Ellis in Pittsburgh.

He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and received his BA in the College of Arts and Sciences. Jay is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and is on the planning Committee for Pittsburgh's Idea Exchange.

Paul Gold
Vice President

Paul joined ECHO Retail in 2008, opening an Indianapolis office with partner Christian Convillefor the Pittsburgh-based company. Prior to joining ECHO, he served as Executive Vice President of Sales and Leasing for Premier Properties, an Indianapolis-based development company. During his twelve years at  Premier, Paul oversaw a portfolio in excess of six million square feet of retail property and was instrumental in cementing strong tenant relations with Target, JC Penney, Kohl’s, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, TJ Maxx, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Bed Bath and Beyond, Michaels, DSW and PetSmart.

In addition to managing a leasing staff of five brokers, Paul was responsible for procuring the major tenants to the companies’ properties including Target, JC Penney, Kohl’s, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, TJ Maxx, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Bed Bath & Beyond, Michaels, Old Navy, Ross Dress For Less,  DSW and PetSmart.

During his tenure with ECHO, Paul’s primary focus has been as  a tenant rep broker. His client list includes Dick’s Sporting Goods, Best Buy, Petsmart, Giant Eagle, Office Depot, Five Below, Mattress Firm, Flix Brewhouse, Earth Fare, Biaggis Ristorante Italiano, Panda Express and Ann Taylor Loft.  Working mainly in Indiana, he also performs brokerage for several clients in Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin and Missouri acting as a master broker for a number of retailers. 

With 20 years experience in retail real estate, Paul has established himself as a leader in the industry and has a deep knowledge of the business on both the landlord and tenant side.

Christian Conville
Vice President

Christian joined ECHO Retail, along with his partner Paul Gold, in January 2008. He began his career in commercial real estate in 2000 when he joined an Indianapolis-based development company, Premier Properties USA, Inc. Christian started with Premier as a Sales and Leasing Agent and, during his eight year tenure, was promoted to Director of Leasing in 2005 and to Vice President of Leasing in 2007.

His primary responsibilities included the day-to-day operations of the Sales and Leasing Department as well as assisting in the management of a retail portfolio exceeding six million square feet. Specializing in restaurants, mid-major anchors and specialty retailers, Christian has worked with national tenants such as Chili’s, Macaroni Grill, Logan’s Roadhouse, Red Robin, Chipotle, Panera Bread, Starbucks, Chico’s, ULTA Salons, Shoe Carnival, TJ Maxx, DSW, Dress Barn, Lane Bryant, Footlocker and many others.

Jaimie Sakmar
Director of Retail Services

Jaimie Sakmar joined ECHO Retail in 2011 from Giant Eagle, where she was the Real Estate Manager for over four years.  There she was responsible for site acquisition and development for their fuel station concept, GetGo, as well for managing their excess property portfolio and lease renewal program.  Prior to her time at Giant Eagle, Jaimie was with Dollar Bank for five years as a Loan Officer in the Commercial Real Estate Department.

On the tenant side, Jaimie represents national retailers, restaurants and hotels including Drury Inn & Suites, Panda Express, Starbucks, Lifetime Fitness, Texas Roadhouse, Granite City Food & Brewery, Five Below and The Tile Shop, as well as Mattress Firm and Burger King in West Virginia.

She is a graduate of Allegheny College where she received her BA in Managerial Economics.

Mark McCall
Director of Retail Services

Mark joined the ECHO Retail team in 2011, bringing with him over six years of retail site acquisition and development experience. Prior to joining ECHO, Mark was Real Estate Manager for Armstrong Development Properties, Inc. where he represented several national retail chains and financial institutions, including CVS Pharmacy and Huntington National Bank. He currently provides market analysis and site acquisition services for clients such as Giant Eagle, Giant Eagle Express and GetGo.

Mark is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Robyn Smart
Retail Advisor

Robyn joined ECHO Retail in February of 2013.  Prior to joining ECHO, Robyn worked as a retail broker at CB Richard Ellis and Lee & Associates, serving as both a tenant and landlord representative.  On the tenant side, she serves as the Central Region site selection consultant for Destination XL Group in markets from Colorado to Ohio.  She also regionally represents clients including Bagger Dave’s Burger Tavern, Dunkin' Donuts, Matt the Miller’s Tavern, GetGo Cafe + Market, Skyline Chili, Zoup!, Gigi’s Cupcakes, and Sola Salon Studios.  Robyn’s past landlord clients include institutional investors, special servicers and local developers. Currently, she maintains a portfolio of listings in Central Indiana.  Robyn is a graduate of The University of Memphis.

Yvonne Ewing
Associate

Yvonne joined ECHO Retail in September of 2007. Prior to joining ECHO, Yvonne worked as a real estate coordinator at Giant Eagle. Her primary responsibility is the retail leasing of the ECHO Realty Portfolio. ECHO Realty's portfolio totals more than 7.5 million square feet and currently includes over 150 properties located primarily in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland and West Virginia. In addition, Yvonne represents landlords such as Dividend Capital, Black Oak Associates, Kimco, and Widewaters. Yvonne is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Justin Holtzman
Associate

Justin holds over six years commercial real estate experience. Prior to ECHO Justin worked for Dots, where he was responsible for the continuation and expansion of the chain throughout 13 eastern states as Real Estate Representative. Justin was also a Leasing Representative for The Cafaro Company, as well as Senior Credit Manager for Wells Fargo Financial.

Justin received his undergraduate degree from Kent State University, his MBA from Cleveland State University, and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
